Anyone able to tell me what this guitar is? The only text on is "prestice" also on the back of the neck it does say Japan
isn't that the same guitar mac demarco used to use
pretty sure its a melodymaker ripoff

It kinda looks like it but if it is a melodymaker rip off, it's one sad melodymaker rip off

sorry was mistaken - not melodymaker, but harmony bobkat. dont know where i got melodymaker from lmao
but after doing some research, it looks like its a mosrite reprod of a teisco guitar, pretty much the same thing mac demarco had

Wow I didn't even know these guitars existed, what it reminds me of is the Volkswagen first act guitars

Pretty sure it's a Tiesco. I had one awhile back that had been rebranded as a Kingston. It had the steel pickups and pick guard and those same kind of knobs.
I had a bass that looked just like that and as mysterious. striped the paint and took it apart. it's in pieces around the house somewhere. I did that because i found out there were alot of no name japanese companies making guitars at some point. it may have been old, but i figured it was worthless. can't find the pic i took but heres something similar

Yup I found it, it is indeed a Kingston thank you so much!
Hijacking this thread now OP. Anybody able to give me information on this thing? I traded it for my Xbox back in highschool, and only just started picking it up and playing it now.
All information I find points back to Greco, so is it just a re-brand or something? Is it worth replacing the pickups, or should I just sell it and save for something better?

Bump

If it's Greco I think the pickups will be fine. Those factories put out great guitars.
