That's actually really reasonable I think, I lean more towards a dualistic or quantum consciousness kind of belief but that's probably just because I rationalize my interpretations of these theories in favor of them due to my wanting to believe them
And I like Meet the Residents and Not Available and Fingerprince and Duck stab / Buster and Glen, not really sure what if call my favorite just since I'm not sure if my opinion would be mine or what I've heard people say about them (in which case Not Available would probably take the cake). I can certainly see a case for that sort of mental framework, the subject matter is both murky and fascinating to me. Kant's transcendental idealism is very appealing to me with the differentiation between our physical sensory faculties and the "us" which draws conclusions based on the lens of those faculties. To be honest I've not dug deep enough into The Residents to have a definite favorite, I'd lean towards Not Available but as you mentioned it could well be due to the acclaim it gets around here rather than my own ideas
