Björk General: Music Videos Edition
So apparently, Rihanna might be featured in Björk's new album, what are your thoughts?
http://bjork.fr/Bjork-et-Rihanna-en-duo-sur-le-prochain-album
>>63802745
Rihanna doesn't deserve Björk imo
>>63802745
It was an April Fools joke, tard
>>63802761
so the Arca tweet was a joke? she has said that she "adores" Rihanna
Yeah, I'm glad that's not an actual thing. Anyway, best bjork music video?
>>underrated
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tE11_5Spq1I
>>63802784
I have to go with the cliché choice and say All Is Full of Love. Though Post's era videos are the best
Possibly Maybe is great senpai, also underrated: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKSoBJ8WirE
bump
>>63802745
ah, I love that pic of hers
Triumph of a Heart is such a cool video, but my favorite is probably Pagan Poetry or Possibly Maybe. Hunter has it's own charm too.
I've only listen to Björk's discography up to Medulla and she is pretty much my favorite artist. From here on, what can I expect? I know Volta is considered meh compared to the rest and that Biophilia is minimalistic and Vespertine is great. Should I also check out Discipline 9 before?
>>63802926
Meant Vulnicura, not Vespertine.
>>63802926
>Volta
Her worst, although of course it has moments of greatness. Her attempt at being more pop-oriented again. Instead of mixing electronics with strings, she mixes electronics with brass.
>Biophilia
More minimalistic and atmospheric. Each song's structure and lyrics respond to a Nature and Musicology concept, which is very interesting considering how organic everything sounds. Her singing seems better too.
>Vulnicura
Björk returns to the string+electronics of Homogenic, and specially Vespertine. Her lyrics are not so abstract/fantastical, and she's really, really sad.
>>63803000
>>63802926
also, you mean Drawing Restraint 9? Check it out, it's one of her most experimental. Love this track off that album: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DtVLcxgz_Ng
>>63803048
Lol, yeah, Drawing Restraint 9. I'll check it out before I check out Volta then. I enjoyed Selmasongs, so hopefully this isn't too abrasive.
When Bjork is saying that the new album will be "heaven to the hell that was Vulnicura", what do you guys expect from it? I honestly really want a happy album from Björk full of moments like It's Oh So Quiet and such (of course with a more electronic sound).
>>63803081
it is definitely more abrasive than Selmasongs.
>what do you guys expect from it?
I hope to get that playful Björk I love so much, maybe a return to more dance-oriented beats? And more humorous lyrics. Maybe sound-wise it will be kinda the same but with a more uplifting mood
>>63802745
April fools confirmed.
>>63803000
The right adjective for Volta is not "worst" but "the less good" simply, it's different desu.
>>63803159
come on, Björk's my favorite artist but it IS her worst, although it receives more hate than it deserves
>>63803081
>>63803118
Why she should return to something she already did in the past? I don't get it people. Bjork is a metamorphic artist who reinvented herself everytime through her career with each step she did, with each album she brought a new thing and I hope she'll do the same even this time.
>>63803319
Of course, that's what I'm looking forward too, for her to keep reinventing herself. I just mentioned the general "vibe" that I want to get from the album A happier, more uplifting album is what I want, regardless of how she approaches it.
>>63803081
Well, you never know what to expect from Bjork, but I hope it will sound like a better version of Volta. I love her dancey stuff, but I don't think she has achieved her full potential in the genre
>>63803456
I don't think Bjork is even still interested in dancey tuff to be honest desu.
Where the fuck is "declare Independance"??
>>63803319
well, Vulnicura didn't seem like a new thing
>>63804281
Björk enjoys UK bass
>>63804314
you mean in the collage? it is there
>>63804453
oh damn your right
I'd much rather see Kevin Parker and Bjork do a collab.
>>63804482
that wouldn't happen since bjork dislikes rock
>>63804551
Good thing Currents wasn't a rock album.
favorite Björk album?
Vespertine / Homogenic > Post > Debut > Biophilia > Vulnicura > Medúlla > Volta
I'd like to see a Damon Albarn and Bjork collab
>>63804767
really hard to rank desu desu
Vespertine > Homogenic > Biophilia > Post > Debut > Medúlla > Volta
>>63805264
Gondry movie starring Björk when
>>63805283
Any Björk movie when
You know she got some music videos produced by gondry tho right?
>>63805337
I do, baby.
If you're interested in kino, it's kinda obvious who's behind when you see them
>>63805283
Gondry back to that time wanted Bjork to starring in his movie "The Art of Dreaming", but she denied the request unfortunately...
Requested by Peter Jackson, originally Bjork also had to sing The Gollum's Song in The Lord of The Rings: The Two Towers, instead of Emiliana Torrini. She denied because she pregnant and busy.
>>63804433
I meant "in doing" dancey stuff, she enjoy the everything possible.
Thoughts on KUKL?
>>63808042
I love them, is it enough?
>>63809757
nope
>tfw technology has become so advanced you can walk on the beach with bjork
>>63805812
>"The Art of Dreaming"
You mean The Science of Sleep?
Also, bummer, she would've been a perfect fit for that movie.
>>63802936
stocky and bjorky <3
>>63811129
>tfw watching that music video with the apple cardboard while on the beach
>>63802784
Probably my favorite music video of hers.
Has such an awesome aesthetic.

I cry every god damn time
>>63805337
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWBsBsj8WhM
Anyone ever seen Glerbrot? It's an icelandic tv movie of 1986 in which she was the main protagonist, it's something almost lynchianish.
>>63805337
From what I'm aware, she's only had two main roles in movies
<<< Oh my fucking god.
>>63812017
That's rarity dude, thanks very much. I always thought she should do more cinematic works, though I know she don't give any fuck about essentially.
>>63812259
and never seen this too, just wow.
>>63812259
asian babe
>>63812017
I definitely have to search for this movie desu, it looks acid and unsettling.
Also, Bjork wearing Converse shoes it is one of the most rare things you could watch in existence.
>>63811907
>>63812017
>>63812189
Yes I know she did some movies. I mean something knew.
Btw I didn't watch any of them, should I?
I'm not into movies desu, but it's Björk we talking about.
>>63814238
Absolutely dude, she is an incredibly spontaneous and emotive actress as well, it's just a shame she isn't interested in cinema in fact.
>>63802784
AIFOL obviously, which is probably the greatest music video ever made too.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2tBhaVEWGM
>>63814238
The full movie is in that youtube link >>63811907
so knock yourself out. Dancer in the Dark is a really good film.
>>63805264
cute!
>>63816702
This movie is literally a masterpiece in the action genre.
>>63811907
This movie made me cry so much man...
>>63818545
even in her old age, i'l still fuck her. Older women don't lose their sex drive as they get older did you know?
>>63818760
She did deserve it. Bitch had been following her for days reportedly. Anyone would snap. That woman makes her living trying to squeeze every attention grabbing drop out of people far more successful than her.
>>63818760
