ITT: The Superior Album
I thought this for years, but as I become more and more of a weird, reclusive loser Pinkerton is striking worrying chords with me.

I kind of wish Rivers followed in the direction of Pinkerton. It got such harsh backlash originally because of its reclusive themes, which got to him and brought us fucking Beverly Hills

"Superior" in the sense that poop is better than diarrhea

A reclusive loser who has sex with a different woman every day of the week?

Yeah that's where Pinkerton fails. The Blue Album ends with "Only In Dreams" where the recluse wishes he had the confidence to ask out the girl but then Pinkerton starts with a stupid song about the same narrator drowning in pussy and being bored of it.

There's more songs than Tired of Sex and they mostly aren't about having lots of sex...

Time happens, events occur, situations change. Especially, I imagine, when you release a debut album and your band blows up

But I guess that's the reality of being in a (famous) rock band.
I love Pinkerton, but I guess there are only a few songs I can totally relate to. Actually.. just one, El Scorcho.

>That's where Pinkerton fails
More like that's where it shines. Rivers' disappointment with success really fits the album's aggressive, emotional sound.

The critics killed Weezer.

This all the way. It's weird to me how few people pick this album as their favorite.
