Been listening to Post for the first time. Seriously, this woman is on another completely whole level. She cannot be compared to anyone else. Her voice is fascinating, very complex and emotional. She's the perfect definition for "uniqueness".
>>
>can't believe this came from 1995

The obviously 90's dance beats didn't tip you off?
>>
oh here comes another bork thread

just post her big milky tits already!!!
>>

>>

Bjork is very unique indeed but Post has a typical 90's sound.
>>
Bjork is very nice yes

>>
>>63776675
>>63776731
There's no obvious 90s dance beats outside I Miss You and the end of Hyperballad, everything is filled with many elements of different musical genres and a lot of well made textures. You're maybe talking about Debut, which is on purpose made to be in that musical direction indeed.

Each song on this album is different from the other by genre actually, the production seems to be still fresh although its year of origin.

Army of Me: industrial rock
Hyperballad: acidt house / idm
The Modern Things: trip-hop / nu-jazz
It's Oh So Quiet: canonical jazz
Enjoy: techno
You've Been Flirting Again: chamber pop
Isobel: trip-hop / baroque pop
Possibly Maybe: downtempo / trip-hop / ambient dub
I Miss You: worldbeat / alternative dance
Cover Me: experimental
Headphones: ambient / psychedelic
>>
>>63776727
Awkward bait.

I can't fucking stand Björk. Her moaning is annoying, her derivative production is as boring as it gets and her songwriting is just not good enough to save any of it.
It's like radiohead, when they are trying to trick people into thinking their music is anything but mediocre by trying to give it some oneiric atmosphere.
>>
>>63776881
Hyperballad is one of the first IDM songs to have glorious, emotive and memorable vocal lines like that. God I love that song, chills everytime.

I honestly believe that anyone who's at least bit open-minded and musically passionate love or enjoy Bjork, and can realize how full of spontaneous rare emotivity her music is always been, since she was practically a teenager. I'm fulfilled for the amazing work she's been doing so far through her career and grateful in advance for what will come next. She's a complete artist.
>>
>>63777236
Yes sure. How come she made only one album btw?
>>
>>63777663
Not him, but the Fever Ray project was heavily influenced by Karin's pregnancy at the time, so the project is tied to it. Fever Ray project is dead because she doesn't plan on getting pregnant again. As for why she hasn't made another solo album, don't know. I suspect Karin is busy being a mom right now.

I agree, Vulnicura is great but it feels like something too familiar for her. I was expecting to be blown away by something really new like with Biophilia, Medùlla, Vespertine or her 90s albums. It is really beautiful though

Lol bait, go away pleb
I still have to find a single essay on why bjork deserves the acclaim most of you are giving her. All of what she does has been done before, better, and all of her work is dependant on the collaborations with her producer, which she admitted once did most of the beats in an album(dont remember now which one)

She is good, yes, but she's certainly not at the level you guys are putting her

It's only because of the strings, they make you remember something of the past records before the 2001. Emotively she has never been so somber and sad as in Vulnicura, talking about the feeling it's another whole Bjork.

N. Dibben, "Subjectivity and the Construction of Emotion in the Music of Björk"

JF Jónatansson. "Björk Guðmundsdóttir. A Phonological, Phonetic and Sociolinguistic approach"

>>
>>63780420
I honestly don't even want to argue with the daily "I try to mislead this one for pure randomness". It's your problem if you have hear problems desu, there are concrete reasons why she's universally acclaimed as one of the most significative female acts of the last 25 years practically. Still in 2016 I can't believe there are people who want to shitpost upon an artists such Bjork.

Six years ago Sweden also gave her the nobel prize of music basically (alongside Ennio Morricone), that is the most important place from which to get a prize of every genre.

Matmos came in the last two weeks and added percussion on top of the songs, but they didn’t do any of the main parts, and they are credited everywhere as having done the whole album.
