idk, i'm too lazy to source stuff but there's occasionally been some quite interesting hip hop discussion and i know dogwander reviews+enjoys top40 stuff from time to time, plus people like transgod who're pretty shamelessly into low cultural-capital stuff like nu-metal.
i suppose that post is a little hyperbolic, but i think the main point is that the way people characterize /daily/- as a place where people obsessively preen and try to obtain cultural capital from 'avant' music- is basically inaccurate, as is the idea that there's a general sense of superiority and stigmatisation of other kinds of music. there's certainly a lot of people around here who are into basic /mu/ stuff and indie rock/pop, and i think the obsession with avantshit etc is waayy overstated.

Also, be prepared to face the fact that you cannot move your feet and arms independently. Which is hugely frustrating. If you're a natural talent like me, at best you will lay down really basic drum beats at first at slow tempo and it will be inconsistent.
