Anyone else into OTR? I've gathered a pretty big collection of tapes, CDs, and mp3s over the years. I host a show on the local community radio station and frequently play my favorites such as The Shadow, X-Minus One, Lum & Abner, The Saint, Blondie, Superman, and many more.
What are your favorite shows?
There are thousands of free shows on the Internet Archive. Varying quality, but great selection.
Not really into it myself but I personally enjoy Bob Dylan's Theme Time Radio. Shame it ended so early.

I'll have to check it out.

It focuses mainly (but not solely) on music from before the 1960s.

Yeah, looks good. Says he plays OTR clips and commercials between rare music selections. Can't find any though. A case of something that was on satellite radio so it's not out there for free, but it's not popular enough that anyone is sharing copies. I'll keep looking. I've managed to find a bunch of Art Bell's satellite show Dark Matter.
I like to turn out the lights and listen to War of the Worlds every couple of years. If you've never heard it, I highly recommend that you do.

It's on soulseek in its entirety.

It's about time I looked into soulseek. A friend of mine swears by it, says you can find all the stuff not on TPB.
Maybe /mu/ wasn't the right board for this thread. It obviously wouldn't do well on /b/.

No one wants to discuss Old Time Radio?
My dad is obsessed with Old Time Radio. He has thousands of recordings. A few years ago he went out and bought the largest capacity ipod possible and an additional nano just to store it all. Not sure were he got the recordings from though.

Damn! He must have a sweet collection.

it would do well in

I'm a big fan of the Jack Benny shows, I also enjoy Bing Crosby, (particularly the Kraft music hall shows) and the radio version of Hancock's half hour is a classic that any Brit should get acquainted with.

Benny and Crosby always did quality work.
This is one of my favorites. Isaac Asimov story.
