What does /mu/ think of The Moody Blues?
and is this their best album?

It's the only albums of theirs I listen to.
Why nights in white satin (shit song) got famous but Nice To Be Here didn't I will never know.

This is my fave
Everything they have released from 1968 - 1972 is like a 7.5/10 but still worth listening to a few times

Days of Future Passed is probably their most popular album

I really like A Question Of Balance. The songs transition nicely. Though Procession (EGBDF) and Departure (ISOTLC) are some of the best album intros OAT.
Definitely one of the more underrated psych/prog rock bands

wasn't that more of a folk album?

It's my favorite. I like all the pre 80s stuff, then it went to shit. Plus you can find all these albums on vinyl for dirt cheap.
In search of the lost chord is very good as well.
The Story in Your Eyes and Dear Diary are worth the price of admission, but, and this only my opinion, I think their best was In Search of The Lost Chord.
