If anyone wants to judge me for perrozompopo, then hello, 1 other nicaraguan person. Also: fuck you, it's nostalgic. I was too busy getting high at the concerts to remember the cool bands' names.

unrelated, but fuck globalization or not. It's the obvious future of the world that different nations and cultures are going to interact, integrate themselves into each others interests, and have the relationships become central to each group. The tide is coming and cannot be stopped. It can only either be productively harnessed.

Nope, this has been tried before.

The sick earth will put forth an antibody.

In theory it's a good thing, but not at the expense of destroying unique cultures that make different nations/people what they are. A world government where countries/separate economic systems are abolished is a world I do not want to live in.

I can't see that far in advance. But at the very least, the technology for that to happen isn't quite there yet. There definitely needs to be more of an effort to attempt preserving and respecting differences in cultures. Suppression of the rights of Aboriginal tribes for the sake of some pan-Australian identity would be bad, of course. Hopefully we can find solutions to these issues on smaller scales like the one described above before communication, travel, and international commerce technologies force everything to happen too fast and dominant cultures simply spread their influence over minority cultures.
The idea of a world government seems pretty unlikely to me, but that's a confusing and large geopolitical hypothetical that seems too distant for anyone to say anything concrete about right now.
