Everything the Beach Boys did after this. No entire album rises to the level of Pet Sounds (except the Smile Sessions for some), but there's a lot of brilliant work from Brian as well as the others.

Also I suggest getting into the Baroque Pop scene whether that's the Zombies, Kinks, Beatles, late '60s Stones, or all the brilliant singles released at that time.

Early Beach Boys and the Motown scene are also recommendations if you like amazing vocal harmonies and the best production money could buy in the 60s.

I NEED more albums that offer feelings like this and Song Cycle, albums that I would say focus more on feelings and orgasmic "moments", music that is in tune with the emotions and feelings on the listener's end.

I've been supplementing the itch with american primitivist stuff like Fahey, Basho, which are very emotional. But I really need more melodic stuff like pic related.

Nah, I know of them and have listened to Hissing Fauna and their latest album. I'll listen to cherry peel now though, thx senpai

>>63719095
Hmmm, well they're all pretty spread out, different genres and shit. Just hang around and keep listening to what people recommend. Check out all the memes, like Pet Sounds - Beach Boys and Neutral Milk Hotel - In The Airplane Over The Sea. Try Harvest by Neil Young. Nick Drake - Pink Moon. Best other albums by Radiohead would be OK Computer and In Rainbows. MF DOOM - Mm.. Food. Quasimoto - The Unseen.

They're all pretty basic around here, but good starting points.

If you want something that isn't as classic, but probably will be, get into King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. Try their album I'm In Your Mind Fuzz.
>>
>>63719262
Hissing Fauna is amazing too, but it's literally nothing like Cherry Peel. They were a lo fi twee pop band with Cherry Peel, then Hissing Fauna was amazing because suddenly they're doing this glam rock dance shit and it's blowing everyone's minds and they've been doing that ever since.

But yeah Cherry Peel is sweet

The Who - Lifehouse (soniclovenoize reconstruction)

I cannot stress this enough. If you want a grandiose older album that is larger-than-life with sublime music and an immense connection with human nature, then listen to this.

the almost spastic production and fragmented song writing really reminds me of something like the Avalanches - Since I Left You lots of highs a lows happening in the span of just a few minutes.

A day in the life of a tree has a harmonium and loud almost straining singing in the nature of Nico. I can't think of any other full albums that hit the blame feel as Desertshore. I assume you're already family with Nico's and Cale's other works.

Recommending new music fosters discussion a lot more than bitching about recommending new music does, and you can look for music on your own and still ask your peers and colleagues what they like. Why is it necessary to "find it on your own"?
