Shit on that line all you want Shaun Ryder was one of the best lyricists of his time with accurate social commentary
>You better put your house up for sale, The indians are coming.
Bummed > Squirrel & Gman > Pills 'n' Thrills and Bellyaches > Unkle Dysfunktional > Yes Please

>The indians are coming
what did he mean by this?
Holy shit, a fucking Mondays thread on /mu/??
>>63683955
I respect your ranking, but I'm gonna have to do it like this
>Pills n Thrills > Bummed > Squirrel & Gman > Yes Please!
Fuck how I love this band. 24 Hour Party People is my fucking anthem
Shaun Ryder is the greatest poet of the 20th century, prove me wrong.

Have you listened to Unkle Dysfunktional from 2007? It's actually a pretty good album considering it was made 15 years after yes please!. I also love them I saw them on their 25th anniversary tour for Bummed and then a few years later for Pills 'n' Thrills

hahahahaha

I haven't, because I'm afraid it sucks. Yes Please wasn't exactly hot. Haven't really given Black Grape a proper chance for the same reason. I have however recently gotten into Shaun's solo album Amateur Night in the Big Top, and I fucking love it, so I'll probably check out their extended discography soon enough.
and I'm so fucking jealous about the live bit
Would just like to say I love Happy Mondays. Thrills, Pills & Bellyaches is a great album. Neat to see a thread.
>yer' twistin' mah melon man

I mean it's nothing amazing in comparison but I feel its better than Yes Please! There's definitely some good songs on it, Black Grape are great I'd recommend listening to them first. I also had the opportunity to watch them live last year but it was like £30.00 a ticket since it was a small venue, but I watched Bez do a DJ set instead a few weeks later

Yeah, I mean there's obviously going to be something nice. It's the Mondays, after all. What kind of records did Bez spin, though?
>>63685000
we see you, senpai
Seconding that Unkle Disfunktional is a good album. Much better than I expected.

Started off with some acid house/hacienda singles and then some madchester and some well known 00's indie singles. He played whatever the crowd looked like they wanted
