>All I've used spotify recently is for study music and reading music
>all my last.fm recommendations are atmospheric sounds and "cyberpunk" themed bands
How do I end this and get back to my real recommendations without deleting my account?
>>63660097
Stop using a fucking streaming service you simp shit? God, everyone is fucking crazy stupid.
>>63660119
wow!
>>63660119
>Stop using a fucking streaming service you simp shit?
why
Stop using Spot-a-Pleb, fucking crusty ass bitch.
>>63660150
wow! good advice! not even the guy you're replying to but go fuck yourself, faggot. if you want to stop hearing things you don't like just pick what you listen to yourself
>>63660119
>poverty rocks!
Make a big playlist of stuff you do want recommendations related to, and set Spotify to play and scrobble it all night with the volume down while you sleep.
In a few days, it should be mostly that music again.
In the future just turn off scrobbling while you use it for homework music.
Stop using Spotify immediately. Are you retarded? Are you a total fucking moron? Do you have autism? Stop using Spotify. Jesus Christ.
>>63660097
You can delete the scrobbles. That would probably fix your recs
>>63660172
>I have recommendations spoonfed to me and automatically queued by a tastemaking algorithm
>I'm to lazy to engage in organic musical discovery
>I become angry when people point out this fact
Say it, don't scream. Fucking sperg trash.
>>63660222
Nice projections!
>>63660184
I have thousands of scrobbles of stuff I don't even remember listening to
I study and read A LOT
>>63660222
>getting angry on the internet
>>>/v/
>>63660242
we're talking about concrete behaviors here, there's nothing to "project", unless you are accusing the guy posting that of also using spotify
>>63660157
Streaming disconnects you from the music in some peculiar way. It removes all effort from the listener. Actually buying music puts some of the purchasers trust into the performance, this does change the listening experience. If I pay for an album that is average, I'll still listen again and again to find my money.
By paying for a Cd or Record you have a right to ask back from artist that streaming doesn't give you.
>>63660242
Try looking up a definition for the word 'projection' before you use it like you're Pee Wee Herman, basic fucking loser.
>doesn't use Spot-a-Pleb
>nice projections! lol
>I know you are but what am I B~)
>>63660263
>getting angry on the internet
What would indicate to you that I'm angry? Because I pointed out that it's overwhelmingly obvious that OP has autism? Do YOU use Spotify?
>>63660321
While I do agree with you, I simply can't keep up my music habits by buying music like I used to. College books are expensive
>>63660321
>If I pay for an album that is average, I'll still listen again and again to find my money.
this is buyers remorse and a form of anti intellectualism.
stop being an anti intellectual
>>63660288
No you're talking bollocks about a stranger who those things don't apply to. I have thousands of albums i listen to. My taste changes by the hour.
>>63660405
>My taste changes by the hour.
this
One thing that triggers my autism is "I only listen to (genre)"
I'd get so bored so fast if I only listened to one genre
>>63660405
>My taste changes by the hour.
damn i didn't realize i was talking to a genuine patrician, i'll back off. that was my first post in the thread too btw so maybe check your reading comprehension
>>63660370
yeah, but DO buy a CD, see the difference in how you appreciate it. I bought a random CD from a music zine and it was just like the good old days.
I have it here , I can sell it again, look at the brochure, something has happend.
>>63660405
>>63660433
>My taste changes by the hour.
kek you dropped your hat, anon. Get this posturing tryhard bullshit outta here.
>>63660373
no, with the exchange of currency comes the emotional reward. We're talking art here, not math.
>>63660452
>I can sell it again
good luck with that
>>63660373
*tips fedora*
>>63660097
Don't be a pussy and don't differentiate between reading/study music and whatever the fuck you normally listen to.
>>63660486
my time is the currency. no one needs to piss away money for an "emotional reward" that they developed from Stockholm syndrome.
I'm sorry that you've developed some sort of consumerist meme philosophy to enjoy music but don't encourage others to follow suit in your anti intellectual endeavors
>>63660619
I'd say I agree with you, but
>weeb pic
Please leave, I swear to fucking god.
>>63660490
>>63660639
>getting this butthurt because of a fucking reaction image
You need to leave
>>63660619
your time is worthless. money isn't.
>>63660669
again, good luck with that
>>63660766
you sarcastic bastard.
>>63660669
How does it feel, fucc niqqa?
>>63661047
nah, this was around 20 years ago. and it sucked even then...
>>63660171
Rude!
>>63660373
for once i agree with you, buying music is literally wasting money in the most anti-intellectual way possible
>>63660097
use a music player that can scrobble, set up a big ass playlist of whatever you're into and let it play/scrobble while you do whatever. you don't even have to listen to it if ya don't want, you just want to get those scrobbles in
>>63660097
Just dismiss those recs in last.fm. Oh, that's right, you can't, because they completely and totally destroyed the recommendation system in the beta and are never going to fix it.
