Also, I quit my bm band I have had for over 3-4 years in total a couple of weeks ago, and is currently looking to start a heavy metal band instead. At the same time I still want to continue playing black metal in some form, and have been thinking about either forming a solo project or do something with other people over the internet. Nokturnal Mortum is probably the closest I've heard to their style, but still I haven't heard any band that comes even close to what Moonsorrow do. Just listen to them. Good or bad, they are unique in their approach to epic/pagan/folk/viking/black metal

Never argued that they are, back when emperor made their "comeback" and started playing live shows again everyone cried about them selling out and immortal making their music more accessible therefore being sellouts was all over the place back then. All Shall Fall is a good album but everyone hated it because it was circlejerked as a sellout record despite not even being that different from sons of northern darkness.
It's changed pretty recently, I guess people just stopped caring about people selling out or just grew up and realized that you can't just make a living out of being in the underground playing tiny shitty shows and realized that playing massive shows is amazing while being a wage cuck is not.
