>What is this?
A general dedicated to sad music, in short.
From rym:
The music of Slowcore artists is generally characterized by downbeat melodies, slower tempos and minimalist arrangements.
>Is X slowcore?
Often slowcore artists themselves do not associate with the label. That's for you to decide.

but i didn't make the genre at all
genre has existed since late 80's
it's an established genre with a big enough audience for a general
come join the plug and chill out to some sad tunes
Anything similar to Dragging A Dead Deer Up A Hill? I love that sad ambient folk vibe.
Low or RHP for you guys? I'm a huge RHP fan boy and worship Mark and everything he has ever done, so.

I'm rating this post a wee bit of a bajillion

sallows by anamai might quench your thirst
cool album i found last year
nothing beats the feeling of that grouper album, though

i would say RHP as well, i've listened to a considerable amount of low's discography and RHP has a lot more high points, even stuff like ocean beach and old ramon have some amazing moments.

reminds me of codeine
putting this in the backlog
have you heard of love, claire?
you might dig it
>>63651778
I mean you've gotta go with RHP. Mark is just such a legend, though I do love Low.
Anybody know anymore slowcore acts with prominent vocals? So much of the genre has the vocals buried so low in the mix but people like RHP and Low use them so prominently and I really love it.
