Have you ever cried to an album?
Plenty.
>>63646818
early modest mouse gets some tears out of me often.
last week the ending melody on Long Season live by Fishmans, where the guitar and the strings are in unison made me cry. it was the first time i ever cried to music. felt good honesty, i thought it would never happen
I got piss drunk and sobbed my way through the mono recording of TVU&N with headphones.
Was a weird time.
>>63646818
never
>that list
my sides
i haven't been able to have a good cry in years even though i want to

I was driving to the radio and having a very bad time
>>63647049

>>63646818

>>63646818
>crying to dataplex
patrician as fuck
Never a full on "cry," but I've definitely been moved to damp eyes by quite a few albums.
>>63647020
>I want to cry
Off you'reselves.
I'm pissing myself laughing imagining someone crying listening to Dachau Blues
>>63646818
no im on too many anti-depressants to cry or even feel anything really
>>63646818
My brother recommended me this album a few times but the first time I got a chance to listen to it was also the day a year and a half relationship ended. I bawled the entire album.
i've cried to 69 love songs a ton idk why, probably because i just want a qt gf.
I get emotional when I listen to music but will only cry when I'm drunk or high
I cried listening to Tchaikovsky's Symphony No.6 (Movement 2), Dagger by Slowdive, and Routine by Steven Wilson while high as fuck
no, and at this point I probably never will.
I can't listen to "Some Mother's Son" by the kinks without crying:

Avant math is worse than me and no, only Michigan by Sufjan stevens
>>63648073
you like coldplay and oasis
>>63648093
You like hipster trash
>>63648107
sufjan stevens is white boy hipster trash by definition
Unknown Pleasures, OK Computer, In Rainbows, Pornography, Souvlaki just to name a few albums but it depends in which mood I am
>>63648073
nah you're easily the worst. for how bland of a personality you are you're getting way too much attention, never mind the fact you don't have any sort of education in music, you couldn't even rec mildly interesting obscure albums
at least avant can keep up an argument, at least unty is entertaining in how dramatic he is, but you're worthless
I cried while performing October by Eric Whitacre
I've also cried to several Elliott Smith albums
>>63646818
>not posting the updated version

data.matrix is just heaven
>>63647249
That clarinet is intense as fug
>>63648073
You are fucking shit, and there is no way I'm worse than you.
I mean, you barely have developed your own taste, and instead trend hop into whatever is popular on /mu/ are liked when you were 14.
Why are you even on /mu/? This place is clearly not for you. You are better of at reddit, seriously. And then you go on crying about people on /mu/ when they dox you. Well, you deserved it, and you keep coming here. It's like you are asking for it again.
>>63646818
If you dont you're a false unable of understanding moving feelings like being TRVE

The Beach Boys - Surf's Up

Who the fuck cries to beefheart?

>>63648678

Sweet Bulbs and Dachau Blues
This entire album, tbqhwyf
>There’s only a shadow of me; in a manner of speaking I'm dead
"no"
>>63648540
this guy gets it
the last stanza is some of the best lyrical content I've ever heard but of course the whole song is amazing, especially the smile session version
>>63648909
i was actually talking about the whole album, but yes my experience climaxed at the song SU. And funny that you mention it, I autistically replaced the Smile Sessions version onto the album because it's so obviously the superior version, it's the only one I'll listen to
i lost my shit on run:running :'(
>>63647197
>you'reselves
>>63648486
I'd take Montie over you anyday
my sister says the saddest things got me fucked up :(
Saturday night I listened to Flood after heavily drinking all afternoon and cried during part 2
>>63649061
Hi Montie
>>63649174
you like dream theater shut the fuck up
>>63649174
tbf, montie is kind of cute looking in that perky, boyish manner
you? i don't think i've seen pics
>>63649032
for real though this album is so happy and positive its wonderful
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IA2uHQ9XBI8
This is the only album I've ever cried to just for the sheer beauty of the album, this song is probably the best
>>63646818
The tears rolled down my face the first time I'd listened to Crack the Skye by Mastodon.
where all you friends tonight ?
>>63649276
avant is a cute little trap boy. the kind that you want to use as a personal cum disposal unit
>>63649335
This very second, go listen to Dream of the Lotus Eaters by Sir Richard Bishop
Wait until for a few minutes in. You'll know when those notes hit. The most serene shit you'll ever hear.
>>63649382
b-but i was born to be _his_ personal cum disposal unit D:
Lift Yr Skinny Fists (specifically the second half of Sleep) makes me tear up every time I listen to it, but it's not really a sad cry. Also the only band I've that's made me cry while playing live.
Hospice (Shiva, Wake) and Carrie & Lowell (4th of July) have done it too because I'm a massive bitch.
>>63647258
ayy same
>>63648540
aaa that must have been great
that song is so fucking beautiful
>>63646818
twin fantasy, and age of adz all make me cry there is no exception i have never listened to either album en masse without crying at least once
also how the fuck do you cry to ctte, yes, discipline, the katamari damacy soundtrack, or tvu?????
>>63649419
Fingering the Devil is one of my favorite Sir Richard Bishop albums. I agree that song is incredibly calming
Honestly, I can count the times I can remember crying on one hand. None of those times to music. I've been made plenty sad or depressed, but no waterworks or anything.
Anyone have an album that will change that?
>>63649684
No, probably not. If you don't get emotional to the point of tears, that's just the way you are.
I've always been quick to get to tears when my dad comes to mind, so some music makes me think about him and then I get the waterworks. It's just a personal thing.
>>63650363
pussy
>>63649485
I haven't cried to LYSF but the JLH outro of Providence always does it for me
>>63648776
And that song in particular. Jesus Christ.
>I am a man with a heart that offends with its lonely and greedy demands.
I haven't cried since I was a baby.
>>63648776
goddamn, yes. fourth of july and the only thing are just too much
>>63646843

>>63646818
Who fucking cries because of Trout Mask Replica?
>>63651270
>well, i'll go to college and i'll learn some big words
>and i'll talk real loud
>goddamn right i'll be heard
>you'll remember all the guys
>that said all those big words
>he must've learned in college
>So The breeze never came back
>Never did you're smile, either
>Was it my enthusiasm? Were the eyes that never looked away?
>Feeling remorse for nor having a better soul to offer, frankly.
>Are you here, my love? But, of course, you aren't.
>Are there gods, my love?
>Did you flee my chain? Or did you broke mine?
>I miss you.
>Here comes the train. I'm leaving, and your presence may never be found among the corridors of this old house.
>College may hold a new life, one where you're not missing.
>I guess all I have is my good ol' phone with my music.
>To at least, try to, at least, f-forget you.
>I'll get my headphones. And, at last... play.
>HOBO CHANG BA! HOBO CHANG BA!
>Good bye.
>>63646818
I bet Avantmath would lose his shit to Uroboros, Vulgar, or Withering to Death by Dir en grey
yeah
last one was probably this
this record got my misty-eyed in a few places. i don't really full-on "cry" to music of films, but i sure get misty-eyed a lot.
>>63649485
They Don't Sleep Anymore on the Beach and Monheim always get me ;_;
Yes, pic related has made me cry multiple times. I cried once during Sleep, when the tremolo picking starts, almost cried at the end of the Dead Flag Blues (I just wasn't expecting it, and it made me very nostalgic), and I've cried to Just Another Diamond Day by Vashti Bunyan.
I see nothing wrong with crying to music
Many things from Tom Waits have made me cry, since they hit so close to home.
