Maybe my phrasing is wrong. It is very clear that the band is inadept at controlling the noises their vocal cords make. Hopefully, they've gotten some better vocal training since then and have learned how to sing without sounding like they're going to pass out. I dunno, I don't follow the Beach Boys like y'all do.
