If you want to do Psychiatry then you have to go to med school for 5 years and then get into Psych training programme after 2 foundation years (but it should be easy since the NHS is desperate for psych doctors). It's quite entertaining but not for a lifelong career though, too much work.
The closest non-medical psych thing that I can think of would be clinical psychology, which I'm told is it's own degree. But desu being a psychologist and doing psychotherapy sessions sounds well boring. You have to see the same patient for like several years and shit.
