He's from the hood, he knows what it's like to not have money, he knows what it's like to live in poverty and be surrounded by violence. He doesn't want that. So he does what makes him the most money.
A lot of these rappers are too concerned about their "street cred" to openly admit that they're in it for the money. Snoop doesn't give a shit. That's why he's one of the few classic 90s rappers who's still extremely rich and still regularly raking in the cash.
Katy Perry wants a feature? Sure. Make a shitty movie with Wiz Khalifa about smoking weed? Sure. A weird Korean man with a stupid viral dance wants a feature? Sure.
