Sorry friend, that's just how any Pendulum thread goes where people know anything about electronic music.
I don't really know of any DnB artists that produce a similar sound though. They were unique but also very commercial. A lot of people think they ruined DnB. They're kind of a guilty pleasure, at least some of their tunes are to me.
Still Grey is still the best tune they've ever made.
Maybe give London Elektricity a try, I guess. Bare Religion, Yikes, The Plan That Cannot Fail, Flesh Music... great tunes.
Or maybe Seba. He likes to switch between a very electronic, futuristic sound and an old-school, rough sound. Can't Describe, Nothing Can Replace, The Joy, The Light are great, great tunes.
