It's terrible, quite possibly one of the worst noise albums ever released. Why else would it have such overwhelmingly positive reviews?
It's a bit of a novelty release. It's more well known for its cover than anything; it is not a good starting point for either Merzbow or Noise in general.

Get over yourself.
Went through a serious Merzbow/Harsh noise phase a while back. Sometimes I think this album is actually underrated due to its meme status.
I do prefer releases like Door Open/ Green Wheel/ Flare Gun but Pulse Demon is just as serviceable IMO.
