Does music need another Zappa?

we need another Krautrock

i wish...
Not just Zappa, we need another Beefheart.
>>63544341
yes.

This generation's Zappa wouldn't stand a chance versus commercial music. Truth is, if this generation had a Zappa, he's probably putting out tracks on bandcamp, doomed to obscurity, drowned out by other artists all doing the exact same thing as him.

yeah because zappa is known for selling a lot of records...and back then there wasn't internet to spread your stuff and most people didn't have money to invest in a decent recording studio like nowdays.
It's not even comparable...Zappa time were much tough.

But Zappa had some commercial potential, if he would have just been cleaned up a bit and molded he could have been as big as the Turtles
>>63544602
Zappa was not a junkie
As much I would like more artists like Beefheart and Zappa, another Kurt Cobain or Jim Morrison would probably do better things for the current music landscape
>>63544341
Get someone on this.
