Give me one reason to listen vaporwave unironically.
Give me one reason to listen to anything unironically.

Because some of it is good and has actual effort put into it.
There's more to the genre that Floral Shoppe.
because it gave birth to post-nightcore
I'm convinced that it's always Vektroid posting this.
Give it a rest, dude.

LOL. He can play dress up all he wants but that's not going to change the fact he's a guy. Sry
>>63541779
Fine then, little girl.
>>63541611
What would you say it's good vaporwave?
>>63541729
Vektroid doesn't give a shit about Floral Shoppe dude. She moved on to better stuff long fucking time ago.
Saint pepsi
>>63541475
to feel nostalgic for something you many have never even experienced.
a lot off it is genuinely good which cant b rlly said bout most music /mu/ listens too

I can't give a list of definitively "good" stuff, but I'll list releases I have enjoyed.
Summer Nights by ESPRIT 空想 is a release that catches a lot of people off guard.
I like just about anything that Skeleton/骨架的 has done (although they recently removed a lot of releases from their bandcamp).
S U R F I N G - Deep Fantasy, even if it may not be vaporwave, it has the cover aesthetic and it's fantastic.
2814 - Birth of A New Day (usually in Japanese) is a pretty decent ambient vaporwave album.
Clear Skies: Complete Edition and Home: Complete Edition by Vektroid really grabbed me for some reason. They're really calming, but you can tell there's something else intentionally "off" about them on a second listen.
I'm a lot more casual of a Vaporwave listener than I'd like to admit, and some stuff grabs me more through concept than the music itself, but there is stuff out there I know. Just avoid anything with memes.

Future Funk

SAILORWAVE is amazing

That's not really vaporwave. and you seem like the dev.
>>63542435
>>63542481
future funk is decent. The whole genre
kinda plays around with the same small pot of ideas
>>63541475
I've got curious about it when I found Boot and liked it, so I listened to the rest of Floral Shoppe.
Didn't like any of them. Should try others though.
>>63543159
Try anything but Floral Shoppe. It got huge because of that one song.

same reason anybody listens to any music. the way it makes you feel
I dont really enjoy vaporwave much either I use to think it was a bunch of boring elevator music but their are artists who implement the style into others and it sounds great
for example

>>63542117
Macross 83-98 is really great if you're into funky shit and oh yeah don't forget Flamingnosis.
>>63543284
The point of Vaporwave since its inception is to elevate the music beyond being boring elevator music, either by changing the music or giving it some kind of meaning.
Vaporwave is like white wine; it's never too bad but it's nothing special
>>63541475
Some of it's pretty good.
>>63543209
The chingchong420bingboing? I found it very boring. What caught me on Boot was the very deep slowed voice with the "chopped" things and everything slow, the others didn't feel like that.
>>63543556
Wow. Not even gonna try?
>>63541779
Always thought it was an actual woman and that somehow there was a rather successful female composer.
Well, turns out no exceptions to the rule exist yet.
>>63543520
"I made such an acute analogy. I hope people notice my genius."
>>63543336
Macross 82-99 you mean
>>63542185
pretty much this. realized this after I downloaded a Blank Banshee album (Ironically at the time) and put it in my headphones after dosing a ten strip. Walked through town on the people trail and felt the weight of all of the earth infinitely and beautifully meaningless. its a complicated emotion to recall, but it was a memorable one for sure.
>>63543580
My friend was talking about wine so I felt like writing that
Fuck you nigger
>>63541475
>implying there's such a thing as listening ironically
>unironically listening to music
I know nobody will listen but can you guys perhaps do Vaporwave remixes of these comfy songs? You don't have to do all of them, just pick the 1-3 you like best.
