He released solo albums before Fleet Foxes, and nobody cared. So, I think if it weren't for his beard, he'd never have met Robin Pecknold. If he never met Robin, he wouldn't have a career rn. So yes, his beard is responsible because it was the deciding factor in him joining Fleet Foxes.
