I always thought of Rush as a middle of the road band. They're like an average man's prog rock band. A working man's band.

They're as close to "god-tier" as Canada's ever going to get

I'm a Rush fanboy and I love their stuff but I don't put it on the same level as Yes, KC, e.t.c.

Except for Hemispheres, maybe.

What I meant by that was Rush never had the musical credentials of big time prog musicians like Yes or the music sensibilities of Pink Floyd. They were just average middle class dudes that carved their own niche through hard work and effort.

rush are definitely one of my favourite bands, i mean theyre all so good at their own instruments, they can be quite cheesy at times though
