>make album full of sounds of computer crashs and dog whistles

Data.what?

You have to be retarded enough to post about all of the nice ""textures"" on the album on the music section of a chinese cartoon board.
i actually like ikeda, but i was laughing cus the press release of his newest album said it featured "unique sine waves" and i mean
>sine waves
>unique
w-what
>>63525581
could you explain what do you like about his music? i literally had a headache after my first listen of dataplex
>>63525743
well, tbqh i prefer his older stuff - it's not so screechy (though i'd argue the second half of dataplex cools down on that). i like the physicality of it, the way it makes your teeth feel like their hurting, how you can sense the sounds in your throat (like the clicking in this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLTXmuOrlpk ), just the overall assault on the senses is fascinating to me, i dunno mate.

>i listen to REAL music, not that stupid computer noises amirite? radiohead, kanye west, death grips, the list could go on and on
i might as well ask here if could someone hook me up with links to stuff other than dataplex
hard to find (for me)
of course i scoured the archive

soulseek and rutracker
that melody from Data.Vortex is so cool
he should stop obsessing with frequencies outside human hearing and make a traditional album
>>63525447
>tinnitus the album
>>63525743
I dunno man. I just love it. It doesn't need explaining. It's just an aesthetic I really appreciate

>I only listen to experimental genres like hard noise to make myself look cool on the internet

Would highly recommend a listen, fairly refreshing experimental electronic.

I like the way the album exposes you to the rawness of sound and slowly pieces together music out of those harsh elements. It's as though the bleeps and bloops are assembling themselves into something coherent and then fading back into the abyss again. It makes you realise that music is just an expression of noises and the same sounds that are beautiful and melodic can also be abrasive and cold. I like the 'beats' ie the sections with structure, melody etc but I also like how much it makes me think and meditate on the nature of music. You probably think that's pretentious but whatever, it's true

Here is a wonderful comment expressing a well-worded opinion regarding a user's taste in music.
You all could learn something.
