This is amazing, I'm upset but also not that they didn't go through with the movie. The comic was cool though.
>>63522502
tHIS IS HONETSLY THE BEST ONE OF THEM ALL
>>63522274
i liked bedlam in goliath more
>>63522542
i know that PG was doing something with Friedkin, but was that a Lamb movie or something separate? also what the fuck is there a comic
>>63522646
i just meant mars volta as a whole to be honest
>>63522660
This is true, I think they really improved upon the established "dadrock" prog style and took it to another level. I'd say most bands that are in the prog genre now are pretty cheesy but TMV pushed their sound to new levels. If anyone disagrees I'd love to hear it, personally I hate stuff like Dream Theater though.
'sup

I remember from being deeply into them as a young one that's essentially why he left Genesis, outside of his solo career, he got offered a good amount of money to develop a movie but it all fell through.
As for the comic, I don't actually know if there is a full one, but I do remember seeing full color pages of a few bits from the beginning. I'd have to google deep, but I'm sure it's somewhere. Could have been fan-made, but it was seriously well done.
Love this album and One Hour by the Concrete Lake.
>>63522658
Not quite what I remember, but I think this is what I found. like 5 pics incoming.
>>63522416
that's because most prog was made before 2000

most good prog was made before 1980

Frances The Mute
Close To The Edge
Dark Side of The Moon
recs plz
>>63523173
there's no real connection between those three albums imo so just try more good prog like Van Der Graaf Generator
>>63523173
That's quite a wide spectrum of sounds. Try King Crimson, Tool, Porcupine Tree, VDGG and Gazpacho. And it goes without saying to listen to the rest of those bands discographies.
prog metal counts right?
>>63523173
ELP has some amazing albums
IQ is pretty cool too, almost veers into the Yes territory, a little Rush as well if you can get into that.

I really like Oceansize.
Frames is their best album, I think.
>>63522274
>>63522697
I think most prog fans with half decent taste dislike dream theater. I kinda like the first 2 albums but as I've gotten older there's only a few songs off those albums that I like any more. Too much shredding and not enough coherent song writing. Most prog metal bands have the same problem so they aren't alone. The new Fallujah album looks like it's gonna be good though.
>>63523896
I also forgot to reply to OP's original question.
<-- These guys.
Fuck Denver. Who has a blizzard in late March? Now my Magma meet and greet + concert is cancelled.

What 70s prog has a lot of blues influence
I tried Rush but it was a little too Led Zeppelin-y and buttrockish for me
>>63527590
Not prog just because it's made by a prog band. 10/10 album though.
>>63527538
