I'll start with Young Thug's "sheesh!" from Check among others
What was the turning point when hip hop started having non stop adlibs? I like when there's another rapper doing that stuff, improvising certain words and saying shit, but it just seems dumb to think about a rapper listening to himself rapping and then essentially rapping back to himself.
SKRRRRRTTTT
pretty much all of Thuggers but my favorite is the "pewpewpepwewpew" from Halftime

Feel this as well, but when done deliberately it comes off as like kinda cool counterpoint shit (Desiigner's Panda is pretty much made by the gratata shit he's doing in the background.) Or at least, thats what most "Thugger is a genius" fanboys would say, but its difficult to determine whether a rapper's doing it because its trendy, or because it works well.
On a vaguely relevant note, still on the fence about Thugger honestly. Fascinated by his persona, love his flow, and its evident to anyone he can right a damn good hook, however once again the lyrics hold me back. Its not so much that I think they're weak or stupid like most Thugger critics, they're just not to my taste, like his whole lyrical aesthetic comes across as literally "slimy." Like kinda gross, which i know some people are cool with, but id just prefer slick lines with like a more druggy aesthetic, less kinda cringe inducing sex stuff and more visually and emotionally evocative lines.

Either Birdman's adlibbing on Lil Wayne's Fireman or Young Jeezy on anything.
