Jazz prog: soft machine, caravan, gilgamesh, basically the larger portion of Canterbury scene.
Symphonic: yes, genesis, krim cingson, (some albums), PFM. Basically any prog band that takes their compositional influence from classical/baroque music

Early KC is symphonic. Symphonic prog is shit like Genesis and most releases were remarkably similar to each other for a genre that calls itself "progressive." Yes are the main exception, and the only other good prog bands are the ones that couldn't be fit neatly into that genre/style/sound, like KC, Pink Floyd, Can etc.
Yes and Gentle Giant are proof that symphonic prog isn't inherently bad, but to me the fact so many bands just agreed on a sound and stuck to it is the reason prog died.
I'd just like to point out that Return to Forever is the only band to do medieval prog well
