his early work like Banned in Boston largely consists of slick, energetic, and tremendously catchy pop punk, if you're into stuff along the lines of Ramones and Dead Boys it's worth a shot
Freaks, Faggots, Drunks, and Junkies features lame, under-produced punk alongside cool sludgy noise rock, with two or three tracks of demented rants set to explosive guitar noise. an inconsistent release, but its best moments are among the best in allin's career
The Troubled Troubadour, with nothing more than vocals and acoustic guitar, contains introspective and heartfelt lo-fi outlaw country. also one of gg's best musical moments, imo
Carnival of Excess is also outlaw country but with a full band and thus a fuller musical sound.
he was a pretty underrated musician imo, but his discography admittedly contains more duds than worthwhile releases.

Check out albums like E.M.F. and Always Was, Is, and Always Shall Be. Anything before 1985, especially with his first band, The Jabbers, is great. After 1985, the music goes down hill, in my opinion. You don't need any albums after Boozing and Pranks. Halfway decent pop punk with potty mouth lyrics.
