I'd almost say non electronic music is easier, because once you have the physical adaptation to the instrument you can throw familiar chords and melodies together and improvise to come up with good sounding music mostly on instinct, occasionally helped by theory. Just look at most of American folk music: do you think that C, F and G over and over again took much thought and deliberation? Yes, there's hard work to learn an instrument, but that is not the only source of difficulty creating music. In order to make electronic music, you need to consider every aspect of a piece of music both in terms of composition and production, or else it will be stale, repetitive and flat. Sure, it doesn't require callouses or quick fingers, but it does require critical thinking, extensive knowledge about software and/or hardware, and a large amount of experience.

One last point, general life advice, that sort of thing: don't knock it til ya try it.
I only record covers of songs that relate to my current feelings or current situation. I finally parted ways with someone who I cared deeply for, because they were trying to hurt me and were honestly starting to act crazy. In the end he just broke his own heart, and I'm happy now. But i feel that Someday by The Strokes is fitting to my situation, so I tried. :^)
