Thoughts on Neil Young?
Best artist of the 70s
ain't so young anymore
>>63414554
Mah nigga
I think his influence is longer lasting than Bowies RIP
>>63414599
I think that's established. Neil inspired entire musical movements, Bowie inspired more style than substance.
Nice to see he's still out there making music. I wonder what the world would be like today if he actually Gave Charles Manson a break, and collaborated with him? Still a fine musician/songwriter even w/o Charlie.

Best artist of the 90's.
>70 years old
>still doing shows
i think hell be fine
God tier. He made a good comeback with Psychedelic Pill, hope he makes another album like that. Didn't like that one he did with Jack White.
Was amazing in the 70's, almost all of his albums were classics. Hit and miss in the 80's and average since the 90;s.
Psychedelic pill was decent ho

a southern man don't need him around
real cool guy almost all his music is topnotch and he deserves all the credit he gets and more
>>63419674
i dunno i think some of his best albums are frojm the 90's onwards - sleeps with angels, mirror balls, le noise
>>63419674
I think the four albums he put out from 1994 and 1996 are profoundly underrated. Some of his most intriguing and ambitious work period and easily as good as his 70's output, maybe better.

broken arrow is one of my favorite neil young albums. crazy horse simply outplay the younger guys. pearl jam is no match.
best albums of the 70s
Musically terrible. Terrible falsetto. Terrible all around. Extremely mediocre.
Neil not-so-Young

He isn't young anymore
>>63421270
How is this not good?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0u5gCiKq9Zc
Probably my favorite singer ever
He's in my dad's top 5 favorite artists along with Iggy, Reed, Zappa, and Bowie, but I haven't really listened to Young yet.
I prefer the Ying Yang Twins
>>63421326
Out of tune instruments, off pitch singing, their timing is shit. It's objectively bad.
>>63421382
It wouldn't be as good if it weren't for those things. Crazy Horse's ragged sound is part of their aesthetic. If you need everything to sound pristine and sterile then Neil Young isn't for you, because people crave that nails in a blender sound.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!
Yeah... Keep justifying shit music to yourself.

The thread is, "Thoughts on Neil Young" It seems like because I have a negative view of him, you want me to leave. Well guess what, those are my thoughts on Neil Young. Deal with it. Don't try to crush dissent, assbasket. :P
I hate neil young.
Self righteous prick
Worst of all , he ruined pearl jam
>>63421955
Mirror Ball is the best album Pearl Jam ever had their name attached to.
>>63422075
Ten , vs and maybe vitalogy are good , the rest is pure trash
>>63421955
>he ruined pearl jam
>>63421241
Neil makes some good music but he's a dumb asshole.
>Pono
>>63422255
Neil Young has been in my top five artists since high school, but I've honestly never thought he was the brightest bulb.
>>63422375
>>63422255
At the same time he was trying to sell his high quality music player he put out an album that was literally recorded in a 1920s phone booth.
>>63414539
dear god that guitar looks rusty as hell, how could he even play it

>anyone who I don't agree with is a neckbeard
