I have tinnitus and post rock sounds great, most godspeed and other post rock bands like slint have a kind of slight white noise in the background of the recording anyway due to the way they are recorded. I saw Godspeed live a while ago, they were so loud, I'd say half the band would have at least mild tinnitus

I would say 80-90% of musicians would have some form of tinnitus, it just goes with the territory, they just don't talk about it because it's so fucking common. Kevin Shields got fucking bad tinnitus mixing loveless, michael gira has shocking tinnitus he talked about in an interview with a japanese publication. I went to an ENT a while ago and he said most people over 20 have it to some degree.
