So, now that the dust has settled for over a decade, can we all finally agree that this is a better album than The Soft Bulletin?
>>63396882
Obviously, but pic related as well.
>>63396882
Clouds Taste Metallic >>>>>> both
>>63396882
YBTPR is a more cohesive album, but that's probably because it's a concept album. TSB is just a good album of mostly good but random songs.

"no"
the Soft Bulletin is the greatest album of the last 20 years.
However the albums you are referencing are also god-tier. Just don't pretend that they are "objectively" better than the Soft Bulletin.
pink robots is the best no matter how much you samefag clouds taste metallic

>Just don't pretend that they are "objectively" better than the Soft Bulletin.
You don't have to pretend when it comes to reality. It just is.
Clouds Taste Metallic and Yoshimi are both better than Soft Bulletin.
>>63397003
I didn't say it wasn't, because it is.
Pink Robots>Clouds>Hit to Death>Soft Bulletin>Mystics>the rest
>Fight Test
>One More Robot
>Yoshimi
>Do You Realize??
fuck this is one of the best around
>>63397027
Kek. Not when you have this tracklist.
>>63396882
maybe its because im high but i see right now a connection between this album and dsotm
>>63397082
explain what this is
>>63397110
My own personal tracklist for the album including the 3 outtakes which bolster it entirely.
Most overrated Flaming Lips album by far. Without Do You Realize?? no one would care.
>>63397056
This is pretty close, good job anon.
>>63397082
I will try this out though, thanks.
>>63397197
wew
>>63396882
They're different. I used to underrate Yoshimi, but it really holds its own. Two days out of three I probably prefer it.
>>63396930
>>63396947
Priest Driven Ambulance is obviously the best pre-Soft Bulletin album.
>>63397471
>Priest Driven Ambulance is obviously the best pre-Soft Bulletin album
mate lets be honest, the albums from between 1990-1995 are so good it's just a matter of personal taste
>>63397471
Yeah, Priest Driven Ambulance is probably the best, but I think Zaireeka is really close behind.
>>63397197
>Without Do You Realize?? no one would care.
But that isn't even the strongest track. "One More Robot" is.
>>63397056
>Mystics>Embryonic
I see /mu/ is just as shitty as I left it.
>>63397082
Reminds me of the "perfect Queen album". I enjoy this sort of tinkering.
>>63397707
Attitudes like yours suck all the fun out of fighting over musical preferences.
>>63396882
Absolutely fucking not. Yoshimi is still fantastic though.
>>63396947
You just like Clouds Taste Metallic better because it's not the Soft Bulletin. It's still a great album though.
>>63396959
The Soft Bulletin is kind of conceptual as well, just looser than Yoshimi.
>>63397056
Why did you rank HIT to Death above the Soft Bulletin? I like HIT to Death a lot, but it's a high 7/10 album if I ever heard one, whereas the Soft Bulletin is the definition of a ten.
Hear It Is - 5/10
Oh My Gawd!!!...the Flaming Lips - 7/10
Telepathic Surgery - 6/10
In a Priest-Driven Ambulance - 9/10
HIT to Death In the Future Head - 7/10
Transmissions From the Satellite Heart - 9/10
Clouds Taste Metallic - 9/10
Zaireeka - 9/10
The Soft Bulletin - 10/10
Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots - 9/10
At War With the Mystics - 6/10
Once Beyond Hopelessness - 7/10
Embryonic - 9/10
The Dark Side of the Moon - 2/10
The Flaming Lips & Heady Fwends - 8/10
The Terror - 7/10
Peace Sword - 8/10
Musik Die Schwer zu Twerk - 6/10
With a Little Help From My Fwends - 3/10

>With a Little Help From My Fwends
I forgot to listen to that. After DSOTM was so great and ITCOTCK was so less great I lost hype.
I wish Lip$ha existed.
>dadrock
>>63398641
You raise a valid point.
>>63398348
Why do people rate Zaireeka so high? Besides the goofy 4 disc thing, I just thought it sounded alright. Definitely not a 9, maybe more like a 7. It's a good album, and I think many people get put off by the 4 disc thing, but I wouldn't rate it that high.
Yoshmi is better in my opinion. But opinions are opinions
>>63398737
ikr
>>63398832
>Why do people rate Zaireeka so high?
It gets bonus points for being a social event in addition to an album. Everyone should get some friends together, lug all their collective stereo equipment to one room, and sit around smoking weed and listening to Zaireeka, at least once in their life.
>>63398946
>a social event in addition to an album
>Everyone should get some friends together
Oh... guess that's my problem then.
>>63399005
Aw.
