Frances the mute is 10/10.
Frances the Mute and Amputechture are their best albums. De-Loused is easier to get into and has shorter songs, but if you like it you should jump into their next to albums to experience their peak.

As far as introduction etc goes, I'd say just listen to them in order of release
BTW does anyone have news on Bosnian Rainbows or Antemasque?
I like all of them for various reasons almost equally. My favorite go-to album of theirs is Octahedron avtually. It's super chill.
