Titus Andronicus is not punk
It's an endlessly debatable album. For me it's in my top 5 of albums ever but I can totally get how someone wouldn't like or get it, like the vocals that sound like a homeless person shouting, couldn't get into the intertwined concepts of the album and maybe just aren't fans of an hour long loud musical journey that leaves you drained. But I love it for all these things though.

the monitor is a truly fantastic record, however iceage was pretty damn good and despite diarrhea planet having the dumbest name ever they've released some quality work
The Monitor tops them all, and is probably the best rock record of the decade, one of the best punk records of the decade, and will stand the test of time regardless of /mu/ contrarians or poptimists

I think there's something to be said about being ambitious but still delivering a fantastic project, which I feel the monitor accomplished with flying colors.
imo tmlt is significantly weaker than the monitor (though definitely as ambitious if not moreso than the monitor)

Yeah that's a fucking great track desu, and maybe neither album has a track better, but in terms of overall quality start to finish, I just prefer AC.
