I found this song kinda randomly on Youtube and fell in love almost immediately. I haven't really explored disco because it never struck my interest until now. I need more music with this same space-y disco vibe.

Some parts can be a little space-y. Still an album you should listen to nevertheless.

I would start with some early italo-disco that's more disco than italo. Here's some good ones to start with

Amazing for the visuals and music alone, and perhaps the only film that's better not having read the book, given that you can take in its alien-ness much better going in blind. A lot of people might say it's overrated, but I would put it in the top 5 best animated films and top 10 best film soundtracks out there. It's a little better in its original French version as La Planete Sauvage though

Also reccing this. It's a super hit or miss album, but the title track is beautiful and makes up for its faults

Really liking the second and last ones you recc'd thanks!

I could use a dl link for this if anyone has it.

Would it be worth it to watch it with English subs?

I've seen both versions and it you can stand reading subtitles (or understand french) I would go for the french version.

(& anything produced by Nile Rodgers)
Also, La Planète Sauvage is a fuckin' masterpiece indeed (I can't count how many times I have seen it) but you can skip Gandahar (made by the same writers 10 years later but animated by crappy south-corean animators: it's less dark & has designs both original & cheesy...).

Cool, thanks.
