I like them. Some of their lyrics are weak (especially on blurryface) but they're alright. 6/10 band

the self-awareness thing though was mostly aimed at how they want people to believe they're not pandering to the Top 40 when they are actually taking inspiration from every major pop act currently out there
One of the few bands I'd legitimately consider to be a 1/10. They're just so awful and cringeworthy

Twenty-one pilots is music for people who want to feel like they're going against the mainstream. Which is ironic because you can't listen to the radio for half an hour without hearing that shitty song of theirs.

Personally, I think they're ok. Not a big fan but I appreciate that they are able to reach the mainstream audience while keeping their style. not a hug fan but good for them.

they´re an ok band their singles are quite fun and i don´t mind hearing them from time to time

Dismissing Twenty One Pilots after just hearing Stressed Out is like dismissing NMH after hearing King of Carrot Flowers pt. 2 & 3.
Their first self titled album is gold, and Vessel is 75% solid jams.
Twenty One Pilots aren't even the best rappers in the Beatles
No streaming service has Regional at Best, which is arguably their best album. Vessel is the lesser, stripped version of it.
