Either way, as a poem it's pretty tired and cliche. As song lyrics, it's still tired and cliche but noone really expects song lyrics to be as good as poetry so could still make for a good song.
i mean some of my faqvourite songs, that i think have fantastic lyrics actually have shit lyrics when you read them on their own:
