This doesn't sound like the nice, catchy Nigthcore I loved back in the early 2000's. These nu-"Nightcore" songs sound like they've been through a blender.

I don't know where you got "potential for experimentation" from out of my post or why you think the burden of making that argument lies on me, I barely even know what this genre is.
Although the fact that its "essential artists" are the same kids making threads about it on /mu/ in 2016 is a real red flag from an outsider's perspective.

Why do you think one of the artists makes the threads? I make them sometimes and I have nothing to do with them.
The genre is partially inspired by vaporwave so I don't understand the accusation of bitterness, everyone in this thread is quite positive aside from one anon who is posting a vaporwave album cover so I would maybe only label him as such.
Potential for experimentation is practically the basis for the entire movement, maybe you should stop working on superficial assumptions and listen to the music
