This album gets mocked a lot, but in reality it is a lot deeper than people think. Even just based on the cover-art, we can take a number of biting social statements from the band about modern society. The man at the desk controls people on a screen, in many ways he probably believes he is in control of them, and yet he is also controlled by an unseen entity. We can extrapolate from this and assume that even this entity has a higher-up, and so on and so forth. It speaks to the same confusion of power and bureaucratic labyrihthinisms that Kafka's Trial made clear.
No one knows who is in control, and behind every boss there is another boss. But the vehicle is still in motion. Just look at what it is doing.
