There's one person here who likes that and he's either not here or he's the one who has made this thread.

Hey, how's life/work?

Also I have no recs for this thread other than Jungle which also sounds like Jazz but I think London Elektricity - Pull The Plug might fit the bill.

Lifes good cheers, you?

London Elektricity is cool, Nu:Tone and Grooverider fit the bill nicely too but don't listen to all that much D&B anymore desu, age up, BPM down.

Not bad but you might have seen the news about the shit that's going down in my job right now so that's not ideal.

Also my age went up recently and the BPM is still as high as it ever was (apart from that time in my early teens when I was really into Speedcore and Breakcore).

More jazzbreaks.

The NHS is always fucked. Tomorrow really won't help much either. Its really sad because I still would rather put my life in the hands of British doctors over 90% of the worlds but politicians screw it up as ever.

I still run to rave music and think of you whenever Orca comes on!

Anything jazzy or liquid out over the last 6 months you liked?

There's me also, I used to post a bunch of stuff in /ajgf/ or what it was called.
Anyways check this out, my favourite trip hop album.

Yeah it sucks but I don't really know if pulling out and going to straya is worth it, British trained doctors are still considered the joint best with murricans. And I've got a guaranteed job for two years doing only durgery so I kind of can't bugger off somewhere and lose that.

Nothing really Liquid or Jazzy has come out for ages. There was a Muffler album on Spearhead but I've become super elitist in my Liquid Funk tastes over the years and if it isn't breaking new ground anymore then I'm not really into it.

Will do, you rec'd me Owusu and Westbeech so gonna grab this

FWIW, I've got lots of friends who've relocated to Oz and not one has regretted it, NZ on the other hand, meh. Wouldn't your family disown you though?

Yeah liquid was always pretty niche when it came to quality, surprised we, well you, came up with the lengthy list originally.

Hm no, don't think that was me. I used to post this for example.

aah, not same person then, don't recognise that at all.

on a side note, yay theres 3 of us.

Nah I don't think the family can disown me now, doing too well for them to care about small stuff anymore.

Straya looks attractive but securing a full time training post there as a surgeon is a nightmare and training is pretty sub-standard according to what friends who went there have told me. You have to basically be a consultant already and then secure a consultant job there to live the real good life. The new contract thing is a total ballache but if they go ahead with it the NHS will basically fall through and then everything will get really interesting. Hopefully I can secure a registrar post before then.

And yeah, that list is even now still a comprehensive list of all good Liquid Funk LPs.
