I thought it was an enjoyable throwback to the late 90s aphex twin/squarepusher kinda stuff that I used to listen to a lot. It could have been more adventurous but I'm glad it didn't have some of the wacky excesses that VSnares tends to mess with

Seeing as you like Sunn check out Horseback and Conan, both are very sludgy, feedback heavy metal projects. You'll probably like Horseback more.
Also check out Geisterfaust by Bohren & der club of gore and the Night county by natural snow buildings ion that chart when you can. Geisterfaust is challenging based on its incredibly slow tempo so you may find some of their stuff like sunset mission and gore motel better to start with.
