It's deep house but not the kind you'd hear in a club.
More like a really relaxing, atmospheric style. Fantastic album.

Any good trip hop in the vein of gorillaz st or Mezzanine?
Something less trippy, more hoppy if you know what i mean?
Tricky is too depressing for me, although i usually like his music
Darius - Velour

Nice one, reminds me a bit of Trentemoller.

Not sure what you mean by "more hoppy": more upbeat or more hip-hop oriented?
I recommend Moloko and Lamb if you want something more lively and pop-oriented. The K&D Sessions by Kruder & Dorfmeister is also really good.
>>63329154
does anyone have anything violent, pretty much like stress from the justice album- cross
>>63332369

Check out that Nero album Welcome Reality. It's the only brostep thing I would ever recommend because although it goes hard, it does have some musical sensibility and some softer orchestral parts.

>Not sure what you mean by "more hoppy
Just said that as i didn't know how to describe trip hop that is a bit less trippy.
Thanks, i'll have a listen, really in a mood for some happy stuff

That violent enough for you?
>>63332744
Belleruche for example is a happier Portishead.
Kid Koala, Mike Boo, Blockhead, DJ Krush, Major Force West, early UNKLE singles and other Mo Wax Records are all more hip hop style trip hop, not quite as brooding as Tricky.
Basement Jaxx - Remedy

Thanks anon!
Its very hard to explain what i want, especially since i'm pretty new to hip hop in general.
Kinda in a mood for some upbeat trip hop like Gorillaz debut is
>>63332907
Maybe this is for you
>>63332907
Cut Chemist, P-Love, RJD2, early Birdy Nam Nam, all on the more turntablism side though.

Check out breakcore and drumstep. Tons of it out there. It's not my thing at all but it's easy to find in forums.
also looking for some recs, if anyone could suggest something similar to pic related that'd be swell
bump for a good thread
