I think what I enjoy most about them is the the way in which they're sort of intimate, with limited instruments, but I'm not sure. I like the slow piano, but I'm not necessarily looking for just piano music--I'd appreciate any recommendations that you think are similar in any way. (It also doesn't have to be French.) Thanks!

Then there are jazz vocalists, but that's like 10-20 years after the people you mentioned I think (assuming they're from the thirties)
