Which do these songs belong to? Can you guys recommend more music like this?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESMUPgJgeOo which is a cover of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4P1FpRwgBU
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mATlgEXFgVw
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwyzQfqGGUU

I think what I enjoy most about them is the the way in which they're sort of intimate, with limited instruments, but I'm not sure. I like the slow piano, but I'm not necessarily looking for just piano music--I'd appreciate any recommendations that you think are similar in any way. (It also doesn't have to be French.) Thanks!

Cabaret, lounge, easy listening. Although music that early didn't really have a name for it at the time. It was just what pop is now.

Yves Montand (le Paris de Montand, 1964)
Edith Piaf

The ink spots

Then there are jazz vocalists, but that's like 10-20 years after the people you mentioned I think (assuming they're from the thirties)

Grab Chet Baker Sings (1956) from the archive. Probably will give you just what you're after.

Bunny berigan
Billie holiday

Not alway gonna be slow songs. A lot of songs from this era are called "standards" and were recorded over and over by different people. Billie sings some sad stuff.
