Don't know if this belongs in /mu/ or /g/ or something...
I've grown to really hate recent versions of iTunes. The older versions had a really interesting classification system that made going through 200 gigs of music pretty easy. Now? It's all touchpad shit.
I don't use iPhones and I still have a 180 gig click-wheel (last generation before it got discontinued) and I have no intention of getting a new iPod. I love my clickwheel.
B'een using Foobar recently, but I find it a bit clunky to use. Any other suggestion that can be a good sub for iTunes?
I'm a newfag pleb, i'd like to know this as well.
Musicbee or winamp
musicbee is pretty good, has a customizable interface

I hate iTunes for Windows. If anyone could recommend something better, it would be much appreciated.

I use Winamp which is kinda awkward but pretty useful as it self-categorizes music. It also labels music by artists which is better than what itunes has imo.
can't go wrong with the bee

Foobar is superb if you want something lightweight and customize-able and don't mind taking 10 minutes to learn the interface
I've also heard good things about Musicbee

Yeah I'm on Windows 7 Ultimate.

can you manage to have Genre/artist/album subdivision?

There's a plugin called fascets or something like that that can organize

Another vote for musicbee. Foobar isn't that great at all. It is clunky, as you had said, and nowhere as easy and pleasurable to use as musicbee. I used to use winamp, but they don't even update or support it anymore.

I've used Foobar for over a year now.
Takes a bit of customization though
