eh. Both TPAB and GKMC were scattered. TPAB especially. GKMC at least flowed like a well crafted album, TPAB's biggest flaw is the amount of non-music segments. The poem idea was fantastic, the execution was so awkward on the album though. A lot of the songs just didn't do it for me, either.

A meme is a joke image or video. An album can't be a meme unless it is made satirically. MBDTF isn't satire. TPAB isn't satire. Blackstar defintely is not satire.
Blackstar = 7.5-8/10
Dark Fantasy = 7/10
Butterfly = 4/10
Blackstar is bolstered by the context, it's true, but that isn't a bad thing. It's an incredible listening experience.
Dark Fantasy is a sprawling album. Kanye brought together some incredibly slapping instrumentals, strewn together by some fairly dull lyrcisim, and unjustified track lengths. Overall, not as good as Dropout, or Graduation.
Butterfly... Ugh. An album with cable channel tier jazz instrumentals, single tone rapping that repeats itself so much that the message stagnates by the fourth track, and production so cluttered and inconsistent that It's almost intolerable as a cohesive listen.
