How do you organize your library? Alphabetically? By genre?
throw it all into one folder and sort it through my music play of course

I dont't even do that nowadays i just pick an album and put it in foobar.
Artist - [date] Album
Folders? I usually use "Album Artist - Year - Album"
Alphabetically. Genres are blurry and subjective.
Even alphabetical order can be a bother at times though:
- !!!, *0 etc.
- Sheena Ringo, Shiina Ringo, Ringo Shiina or Ringo Sheena?
- GZA/Genius or Genius/GZA?
- exotic names that may or may not be someone's given name, not sure
- names in non-Latin alphabets
etc.
albums > aritst name > year - album name

Music
+Artist - Album
Sorted alphabetically
year
it gives perspective
Alphabetically, but all the bandcamp downloads I have go under one folder titled "Bandcamp Artists"
>>63229867
why would you ever feel the need to do that
Put the album in my music folder.
Go into MusicBee and auto-tag that album.
Every once in a while open Media Monkey and sort by Genre\Artist\Year - Album\track - name
Doesn't piss off people on SoulSeek and doesn't take much effort.

I was gonna use some of them for the soundtrack to an indie game I'm making, so I wanted to keep them all in one place for easy access, without copying them into another folder (which would take up more space).

fair enough, though you could just keep a list in a text file

By artist, alphabetically, then by chronological order for album release.
Music -> A...Z -> Artist -> Year - Album
Anything more detailed than that I just use the Column browser in Musicbee. Auto-tag is amazing for cleaning up individual files that are already sorted, and RYM is great 90% of the time for genre tags.
