I honestly rather enjoyed my afternoon on 4chan when bowie passed. It felt so odd to see genuine grief and sadness on a site angsty all the time. Coupled with the livesteams and the initial reactions when everyone was saying it was fake it was just really surreal and I'm glad I got to be in comfort with fans and not pleb Facebook dwellers that lie about being a fan of his work

I listened to it the night before, and was thinking about how when David Bowie died, people weren't going to be ready for it. I even thought about how the video for Lazarus could have easily been Bowie hinting that he was sick and possibly dying. I just shrugged this off as some terrible morbid thinking on my part. Looking back now, I'm so shocked that I and others didn't notice how ill he looked. He looked like he aged 15 years from TND era to Blackstar. It was probably the chemo since chemo can age you.

I remember when the Blackstar video was released, when for the first time you see Bowie without that bandage over his face, I thought he looked really old, compare how he looks here to how he looks in that video, it's really quite sad, especially since I'm seeing it happen to one of my own family members before my eyes
