What does /mu/ think of Pig Destroyer?
great band, i really like the vocalist voice, pretty unique among grind bands.

Yeah, he uses slight distortion on vocals by the way. Also, rarely you find a grind band that's also good lyrically.
Prowler in the Yard is one of my favorite metal/punk album ever, Terrifyer is also great, then there is a quality dip after.
Some of the stuff before Prowler can be pretty great too.
one of the few acceptable grindcore bands
I really, really like Phantom Limb.
The others, not so much

What are the others?

Whatever he deems likable. Should be obvious.
Exceptional songwriting for grindcore.
JR's one of the best lyricists out there, regardless of genre.
Terrifyer and PITY are the epitome of grind

Fantastic group

>acceptable
No, no, no. This is beautiful. This is art.
>>63179843
i hate people like you
>>63179856
so do i
I haven't heard much, but they do grindcore the way I like, emphasizing energy, anxiety, and speed.
Terrifyer is good
The slowed-down weird shit they've done lately is not bad, but gets old fast
Nasum stays my grind-fu though
Prowler in The Yard, Painter of Dead Girls, Terrifyer and Natasha are all fantastic, top grade, cream of the crop, undisputed magnificent examples of grindcore but I haven't enjoyed much of their material since then. Phantom Limb and Book Burner are both mosh friendly as hell but they lack the atmosphere of their previous work and thats what was setting them apart from the millions of other grind acts out there. Now the only thing that makes them stand out is there crisp-but-not-plastic production. Still a great band but not nearly as good as they used to be.

Natasha is a doom track, not grind.

Alright, let me correct that as
>Prowler in The Yard, Painter of Dead Girls, Terrifyer and Natasha are all fantastic, top grade, cream of the crop, undisputed magnificent examples of heavy music.
Is that good enough for you, daddy?
