That album was what got me into music
Close to the Edge and In The Court of The Crimson King seem to be /mu/'s favorite.
I love The Mars Volta, I'm not sure I can pick between Frances the Mute and Deloused in the Comatorium.

Nice chart, can I upload it on the wiki?
Best new prog band, RIP
>>63166252
i made a chart a while back that started with Bravo's Ghost since its their earliest example of their overall style but this is better. I'd get rid of the " I didn't like this - try a different band" part though.

Holy shit someone posted my OC
>>63166308
I give you my blessing
>>63166226
what about Anekdoten?
>>63166419
Why is that shit so blurry
There was a time when prog rock was all I listened to. Not the case anymore, but it's still one of my favorite genres. I owe a lot of the development of my tastes into other things to it.

gladly Amplifier took over their legacy.
>>63166506
They've gone downhill since Octopus
I love this album. The rest of their stuff doesn't tickle me quite the same way though.
>>63166477
never heard of them what should i check out?
>>63166452
yeah i really liked it so i'm kinda following it around right now
>>63166534
I liekd their latest albums a lot. The Residue EPs are ok too.
>>63166581
which ones your favorite so far?
>>63166506
Amplifier don't even come close to Oceansize
Their debut is the only great album
>>63166581
anekdoten is pure KC worship.
all of their albums are at the same level. I guess one could start with Vemod or Nucleus.
>>63166566
AWWW YISSSS
I didn't realise they had more stuff - where should I go after The White Stag?
>>63166605
Demon is godly, Night is wonderful, really wanna get to March of Ghosts and Tick Tock. I kinda started with Night a while back so a little out of order but w/e
>>63166639
Try solstice or hisashiburi, though frankly those are much more experimental and less 'suite' kind of albums.
King Crimson is definitely my favorite prog band, and also my favorite band. Their live stuff from 1972-1974 is some really incredible stuff, it shows just how good those guys were as musicians.

ok i'll just start at the top with them probably. thanks senpai
